Position Summary for IT Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist is a Temp to Hire position responsible for supporting IT desktop operations to ensure the organization operations. 

As part of the IT team, this position requires employees to maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with others. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills. This candidate will need to have a sense of ownership and display enthusiasm in supporting the organization.

The Support Specialist, will provide first level of PC and connectivity support to users, IT initiatives supporting endpoint devices, and desktops on the IT infrastructure. The candidate must maintain 
cooperative and collaborative working relationships with others. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills. 

Reporting to the IT Network Manager, will Provide desktop support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction following IT best practices and established process and procedures. This role is based in Coppell TX.
Responsibilities for IT Support Specialist
•	Assist users in their day to day needs using the service desk ticketing system to monitor and 
        respond quickly and effectively to requests and tickets. 
•	Provide desktop support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction 
•	Determine when escalation of issues is appropriate and seek advice and recommend potential 
        solutions. 
•	Work on modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local 
        workstations 
•	Assist with on-boarding of new users and moving existing users, by setting up and deploying new 
        employees using standard hardware, images and software. Including remote or Work from Home users 
•	Assist with setup, configuration and testing of user’s VPN access. 
•	Other duties as required by the business and assigned by the IT Network Manager 
•	Assisting users using the Help Desk ticketing systems. 
•	Interface with Corporate support personnel and with service related partners and vendors. 
•	Oversee escalations for technical issues to the IT Network Manager 
•	Assist remote users providing support by telephone, Skype for Business or e-mail. 
•	Utilize and maintain the Service Desk (Software and assets) 


This position will work with management and employees to facilitate work and accomplish objectives in a collaborative effort, as well as report to the IT Network Manager. 
This position requires employee to maintain cooperative diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, under tight deadlines, even when there customers and the public; work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues; complete projects are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
Qualifications for IT Support Specialist
•	Demonstrated 1-year experience (2 years preferred) in the following: 
o	Technical knowledge of PC principles and protocols performing timely workstation support. 
o	Experience supporting Windows 7 and Windows 10 professional 
o	Active Directory administration and users set up in AD. 
o	Supporting Microsoft Office products, as well as Microsoft Outlook (Office 365 preferred). 
o	Using computer ghost imaging technologies. 
•	Demonstrated experience in problem resolution and customer satisfaction. 
•	Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work in an organized and efficient manner with minimal 
        supervision 
•	Provide innovative recommendations and solutions. Embraces new technology and alternative 
        solutions to business problems. 
•	Ability to interact with and communicate well with other technical associates 
•	Proven organization and problem-solving skills. 
•	Excellent Communication (verbal and written) and Customer Service Skills 
•	Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience 
•	A+ Certification 
•	MCP Certification 
•	Knowledge of VOIP phone system or related technologies 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  
•	Ability to perform tasks involving moderately heavy objects ( 10 to 50 pounds) 
•	Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling of boxes, as well as 
        frequent movement (walking) throughout the facility. 
•	Sitting for long periods of time 
•	Access information on the computer
