Position Summary for Financial Analyst
I am currently recruiting for a brand new exciting opportunity with one of my favorite Oil and Gas clients. They are located in Downtown Houston and are one of the largest oil and gas mineral and royalty companies in the United States. Their benefits are top notch, and the manager for this role is so great.
Responsibilities for Financial Analyst
(Major Accountability)	
•	Analysis of monthly operating results, the development of short and long term financial forecasts, management of credit requirements and other special projects. Must possess superior skills and ability to model complex scenarios with little guidance. 

Education/Work Experience Required: 
•	Degree in finance or related field 
•	1 – 3 years of relevant work experience within one of the following areas: finance, investment banking, or consulting 
•	Working knowledge of the oil and gas industry, desired 

Reports To: 
•	Manager, Finance	

Specific Accountabilities: 
Accountabilities are actions that will enable the incumbent to achieve the job’s overall purpose. 
•	Responsible for performing complex financial analysis on work assignments involving long- and short-term financial forecasts, management of credit requirements, and other special projects 
•	Perform financial modeling for annual budget and long-range strategic plans based on major natural gas and oil shale plays throughout the United States 
•	Undertake activities related to project evaluation, financial structuring, and investor interface for long-term business strategy and potential acquisitions 
•	Manage multiple work streams efficiently to meet tight deadlines 
•	Support senior management in the development of strategy, objectives, and action plans to meet BSM’s growth strategy 
•	Analyze reserve reports, research drilling activity, and integrate the data into projections, budgets, and other ad hoc analyses 
•	Assist with reporting requirements for reporting to investors 
•	Work with other departments in proposal preparation and presentation 
•	Perform other incidental and related duties as required 

•	Conduct special financial and business related analyses and studies 
•	Compile and prepares reports, graphs, and charts of data developed 
•	Prepare presentations for investors, the Board of Directors and senior management 
•	Effectively communicate results of analyses to Finance team and senior management
Qualifications for Financial Analyst
•	Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
•	Proficiency in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
•	Strong attention to detail
•	Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation & Benefits for Financial Analyst
•	Salary : $65-75k + bonus
